The inverse source scattering problems, as an important research subject in inverse scattering theory, have significant applications in diverse scientific and industrial areas such as antenna design and synthesis, medical imaging, and optical tomography. Although they have been extensively studied, some of the fundamental questions, such as uniqueness, stability, and uncertainty quantification, still remain to be answered. In this talk, our recent progress will be discussed on the inverse source problems for acoustic, elastic, and electromagnetic waves. The stability will be addressed for the the inverse source problems. We show that the increasing stability can be achieved by using the Dirichlet boundary data at multiple frequencies. The stochastic inverse source scattering problems will also be highlighted.
主讲人简介:
李培军,美国普渡大学教授,主要从事科学计算、数值分析和偏微分方程应用工作。其研究领域包括偏微分方程反问题的不适定性及优化设计,声波、弹性波以及电磁波在复杂随机介质中的传播,尤其是光学和电磁学中散射和反散射方面的问题。在2015年获得反问题领域最高奖The Calderon Prize。
